The weather in Vancouver is so bipolar, everyday is different. It can hail, rain and still be sunny all in one day. It’s finally warm out and I’m trying to lighten up my wardrobe for the summer. For anyone who knows me personally, I’d just like to point out that I’m not wearing any black today (!!).
It’s hard to wear original pieces in Vancouver because everyone tends to wear the same thing so I do the majority of my shopping online. ASOS is my absolute favourite shopping site, but I recently discovered Showpo, an online boutique from Australia. Shipping from Australia to Canada is so expensive but they have the nicest online boutiques, it’s a constant struggle for me. I bought these shorts with a matching top but the top is a bit small for me so I’m getting it altered. It can be really frustrating shopping online if you’re not sure about your size and a lot of the time sizing is really different. An XXS in one store can be equivalent to a small at another store. Because the shorts are part of a two piece set I couldn’t order separate sizes which is a little frustrating. The key is to know your measurements so you can always check the sizing chart the website you’re shopping on provides.
