hike 4: eagle bluffs

Having some serious hiking withdrawals right now. It’s been a couple weeks because of my trip to Vegas and my hiking partner’s Eurotrip (couldn’t be more jealous by the way). Before we left we decided to try a more “advanced” hike; Eagle Bluffs near Black Mountain in Cypress. It is probably the best view I’ve ever seen of Vancouver thus far. After walking up what seems like an endless winding gravel trail, you walk around the side of the mountain through all the trees and come to the lookout point. You can see the entirety of Vancouver from UBC all the way to Burnaby or further. The photos just do not do it justice. There’s something about sitting atop a mountain or cliff that you climbed with some of your closest friends that brings you closer together. A feeling of accomplishment that can’t be faked, you have to work and earn it. I can’t wait to get back into our weekly routine, god knows I need some cardio.
